PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To finish printing of print data at a high speed by selecting one among plural printers to be decided that the printing is finished at the fastest speed and transferring the print data to the selected printer. SOLUTION: When the numeric values shown at the right of numbers P1, P2, P3 and P4 on four pages are exchanged to print data by a print driver, the document of these four pages are distributed to printers 1 to 3. At this time, when the printers 1 to 3 are exactly the same as each other, a time needed to finish printing of all pages is made toαof (3). Meanwhile, the pages to be printed in the first round are distributed in turn from a printer 1 of a print progress situation (4). When the number P4 to be distributed in the second turn is allocated, the size of the print data already allocated is confirmed and a time needed to allocate the print data to a printer 3 having the least quantity of data and to complete the printing is made toβ. As a result, the timeβis shorter than the timeαin regard to the time from the start to the end of the printing.
