<p>The present invention relates to a cap (12) designed to seal a cartridge (3), which contains a paste compound (11), which is to be discharged by means of a pistol-like tool (1). The cap has a cylindrical wall (13) with outer sealing lips (14) all around, which wall is open at its rear end (15) in order to receive a piston stem (5) having a disc (6), which belongs to said tool and which wall is closed at its front end (19) by a curved bottom (24), from the rear side of which outwards projects a central, cylindrical support ring (26) as well as an annular lip (27), which obliquely projects inwards from the corner area between the bottom and the wall. According to the invention the annular lip is positioned all around as application means for a rotation-symmetrical tool (30) designed to apply the cap (12) in its working position in the cartridge (3) with a simultaneous concentric contraction of the cap with a diameter reduction all around and a possible air discharge all around. Also, the invention relates to a method as well as a tool designed to apply, use and affect respectively the cap.</p> |
