PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a directly applicable polymer coating composition. SOLUTION: The directly applicable polymer composition contains, against (1) 100 pts.wt. thermoplastic olefin, (2) from 5 to 20 pts.wt. propylene homopolymer grafted with an anhydride of an aliphaticα,β-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or a propylene copolymer thereof with ethylene or 4-8C alpha- olefin, (3) from 3 to 20 pts.wt. polyethylene oxide wax having a melting point of lower than 116 deg.C and an acid number of smaller than 40, (4) from 2 to 8 pts.wt. functionalized polymer which reacts with the anhydride group of the graft polymer, optionally, (5) from 5 to 30 pts.wt. polyolefin rubber grafted with an anhydride of an aliphatic (α,β-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid and (6) from 5 to 20 pts.wt. ethylene polymer grafted with an anhydride of an aliphaticα,β-unsaturated dicarboxylic acid. This composition is especially useful for preparing an injection-molded component such as an automobile bumper and exerts a high coating adhesion property and durability. |
