METHOD OF PREPARING BITUMEN POLYMERIC COMPOSITION FOR ROOFING AND HYDROINSULATING MATERIALS

FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: described is method of preparing bitumen-polymeric composition for roofing and hydroinsulating materials by mixing and heating bitumen, polymer and filler. Polymer is polyethylene and petroleum oil plasticizer is further added. Mixing is carried out in two serially installed planetary mixers, each being equipped with two stirrers. First stirrer is charged with bitumen and polyethylene and they are mixed at 160-200 C for 90-100 minutes. Mixture is then transferred into second mixer, petroleum oil plasticizer is added and mixture is stirred for 14-20 minutes, filler is then added and mixture is stirred for 15-20 minutes, components are mixed in second mixer at 140-160 C. EFFECT: technology of mixing bitumen-polymeric binder which allows for uniform distribution of the components to be mixed at low temperatures and preparation of high- grade binder and roofing and hydroinsulating materials based thereon. 1 ex
