PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a solvent wherein a titanyl phthalocyanine, which has a crystal form wherein the Bragg angle 2θshows the main peaks at least at 9.6 deg.±0.2 deg., 24.0 deg.±0.2 deg. and 27.2 deg.±0.2 deg. in an X-ray diffraction spectrum against Cu-Kαray, is stably and finely dispersed, and also to provide an organic photoconductor which contains a titanyl phthalocyanine, which has a crystal form wherein the Bragg angle 2θshows the main peaks at least at 9.6 deg.±0.2 deg., 24.0 deg.±0.2 deg. and 27.2 deg.±0.2 deg. in an X-ray diffraction spectrum against Cu-Kαray, and shows a good coating quality. SOLUTION: An organic pigment dispersion is prepared by dispersing a titanyl phthalocyanine which has a crystal form wherein the Bragg angle 2θshows the main peaks at least at 9.6 deg.±0.2 deg., 24.0 deg.±0.2 deg. and 27.2 deg.±0.2 deg. in an X-ray diffraction spectrum against Cu-Kαray in the organic solvent. Here, the main peaks of the Bragg angle 2θin the titanyl phthalocyanine crystal form at 9.6 deg.±0.2 deg., 24.0 deg.±0.2 deg. and 27.2 deg.±0.2 deg. are retained.
