PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical feed type catalyst deodorizing device to improve catalyst activity by increasing a catalyst carriage amount and increase a gas treating amount by decreasing incurring of a pressure loss. SOLUTION: A metallic porous body 10 is securely contained in an external enclosure apparatus 50 arranged in the middle part of an exhaust gas passage running from a cooking apparatus and a garbage disposing machine. In the metallic porous body 10, a porous metallic fiber material formed through accumulation of high temperature heat resisting metallic fibers and having resistance heat generating properties is formed in a belt-like state and bent in a manner to produce a number of pleats and closely arranged in the external enclosure apparatus 50 and a catalyst is carried by the metallic fiber material. Further, an electrode 17 is arranged at the end part of the metallic fiber material 1 and connected to a source device 55 and the metallic porous body 10 forms a planar heat generating body and is caused to effect self-heat-generation.
