PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating device of a V-belt type continuously variable transmission, which can optimally control the oil supply amount in accordance with the heat emitting condition of V-belt and can enhance the durable reliability of the V-belt and pulleys. SOLUTION: This V-bent type continuously variable transmission includes an input pulley 1 and output pulley 2 whose contacting width with a V-belt 3 can be changed continuously and a lubricating oil supply means 12 to supply lubricating oil 21 to between the pulleys 1 and 2 and the V-belt 3, wherein an oil temp. sensor 20 to sense the temp. of the lubricating oil 21 splashing from the V-belt 3 is installed at its periphery, and the amount of the lubricating oil 21 to be supplied from the supply means 12 is decided by a lubricating oil amount deciding means 13 in accordance with the splashed lubricating oil temp. sensed by the oil temp. sensor 20.
