摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cesium separation and recovery agent comprising a granular cesium-selective inorganic ion exchanger with an excellent handling property, and a method for producing the agent with ease and high reproductivity. SOLUTION: This cesium separation and recovery agent comprises a ?granular inorganic ion exchanger with high cesium selectivity and is obtained by depositing ammonium phosphomolybdate having the formula: (NH4)3PMo12O4O- nH2O (in the formula, n stands for the mole number and within 1-4) in the fine pores of a porous inorganic support. The method for producing the cesium separation and recovery agent includes an impregnation-precipitation method in multi-steps to synthesize and deposit the defined ammonium phosphomolybdate in the fine pores of the porous inorganic support. In this case since the cesium separation and recovery agent has an excellent handling property and is easy to be separated by solid-liquid separation, the agent can be usable for adsorption separation process by both contact filtration method and solid phase adsorption method.
