The present invention relates to a three-zone-type air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, which can independently cool/heat a driver seat portion, a passenger seat portion, and a rear seat portion. An objective of the present invention is to prevent an unnecessary operation of an auxiliary blower for a rear seat to promote a reduction in energy, and resolve a problem on difficulty in controlling an air flow stage of a rear seat portion by an excessive air flow of a main blower. To achieve the objective, the air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle comprises: a main blower to blow air to a driver seat portion, a passenger seat portion, and a rear seat portion; an auxiliary blower for a rear seat to additionally increase a flow and a wind pressure of air blown to the rear seat portion; and a rear seat air flow adjustment door to adjust a flow of the air blown to the rear seat portion. The air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle further comprises a control unit to switch over to an energy saving mode and turn off the auxiliary blower for the rear seat to cool/heat the rear seat portion using an air flow of the main blower only in a condition where an air flow stage of the main blower is higher than or equal to an air flow stage of the auxiliary blower by a predetermined air flow stage. |
