PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pseudo-signals in magnetic stripe analog signals by detecting magnetic fields of magnetic stripes and providing recorded data and a magnetic stripe sensor applying a repeatable magnetic characteristics and stipulating a sampling interval and the number of samplings and applying the target number of digitized samples. SOLUTION: Two component signals DD and MS are separately extracted from an analog signal AS by one pair of extracting circuits 18, 20. The digital data signal DD is supplied to a source unit 26 and a system 28. The extracting circuit 20 obtains a series of digital words and digital samples DS by sampling the magnetic characteristics signal MS and digitizing the signal. A correlation unit 24 receives the reference form of a magnetic characteristics identifier RMI from the source unit 26 to supply a correlation signal CO to a transaction system 28. Moreover, the digital data signal DD is also processed by the system 28.
