Acoustic energy reduction method for gas turbine plant

The method involves providing acoustic isolation between adjacent combustion sources within a gas turbine plant by increasing their effective acoustic spacing, or providing destructive acoustic coupling between the adjacent combustion sources, so that the overall acoustic energy level is reduced. The spacing between the combustion sources may be determined in dependence on the wavelength of the lowest frequency of the acoustic energy, to prevent acoustic resonance between them.
