PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the flange of a reel from being deformed caused by externally or internally applied force. SOLUTION: This jig prevents a reel from being deformed in the width direction at the flanges 2 and 2 of the reel A composed of paired flanges 2 and 2 fixed while a winding core 1 is being held therebetween, and of the winding core 1, and the jig is formed out of a belt shaped body 3 made of flexible material wherein two stripes of recessed grooves 4 and 4 to be meshed with the circumferential peripheral parts 2a and 2a of the paired flanges, are formed up over the one side 3a of the belt shaped body 3 in the longer direction.
