PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new transition metal complex containing a chiral diaminophosphine capable of being simply synthesized at a low cost under mild conditions as a ligand and useful as an asymmetric catalyst for unsaturated organic compounds, etc. SOLUTION: An optically active diaminophosphine-coordinated transition metal complex of formula I [R is a (substituted) aryl or a (substituted) 3-8C cycloalkyl; (n) is 0 or 1; M is a transition metal; A is a counter ion; (m) is an integer of 0-4; L1 and L2 are each independently or together form a ligand] or formula II. The transition metal complex is useful as an unsaturated catalyst for unsaturated organic compounds, etc. The transition metal is obtained by reacting an optically active 2,2'-bipiperidine or 2,2'-bipyrrolidine of formula III or IV with a halophosphine of formula V (X is a halogen) and subsequently reacting the obtained optically active diaminophosphine derivative with a compound containing a transition metal such as rhodium, rethenium, palladium or iridium. |
