PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly accurate high frequency signal generator used in a clock system including a time reference formed from CT type crystal. SOLUTION: This high frequency signal generator 50 is provided with a first oscillator 51 for supplying a first frequency (f1), a second oscillator 56 for supplying a second frequency (f2), a frequency divider 60 for supplying a third frequency (f3) from the second frequency, a comparator 52 for comparing the third frequency with the first frequency and a control loop provided with a filter 54 connected to the comparator for controlling the second oscillator. Further, a means 58 for supplying a labellings LCK including the state of the loop is provided and the filter 54 receives the labellings LCK. In response to it, in the case that the loop is locked (or not locked), a narrow band (or wide band) is attained.
