PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stack pallets smoothly by means of forklift trucks. SOLUTION: Anti-overturning plates 67 are turnable about vertical shafts 70 along the sidewalls of an opening 65 of a pallet housing 51. Depending upon the detected approach of a forklift truck, a controller 3 for the anti-overturning plates 67 is actuated to open or close them. The anti-overturning plates 67 are thus prevented from interfering with the backrest of the forklift truck.
