PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a heart exchange segment that is less apt to cause deformation outside a surface (deformation such as out-of-shape), can be handled easily, and freely causes compression deformation in a lamination direction, and a heat exchange element in lamination structure for gas versus gas using the heat exchange segment. SOLUTION: A heat exchange element 1 is formed by laminating a plurality of heat exchange segments 2. Also, the heat exchange segments 2 are formed by sealing a plurality of elastic spacers 5 to a heat exchange panel 3 tat is formed adjacent to a plurality of gas channels 6. Also, the elastic spacers 6 are sealed so that both ends in the longitudinal direction are arranged in a direction (X-axis direction) that orthogonally crosses one gas channel 6 and is pressed against the heat exchange panel 3 to form the other gas channel 8.
