PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a working process easy and to improve the production yield in the production process of forming a liquid crystal panel by cutting large substrates, by disposing judging marks on one of a first substrate and a second substrate so as to judge whether the first or second substrate is rightly cut. SOLUTION: A liquid crystal panel 9 is produced by joining a first substrate 11 of a transparent material formed into a square plate and a second substrate 12 of a transparent material same as the first substrate and formed into a square plate with a sealing member 13 formed into a square frame between substrates. Plural dummy electrodes 17 are formed to form dummy electrode lines 18 on both outer sides of electrode lines 16. In the dummy electrode lines 18 on both outer sides of the electrode lines 16, two dummy electrodes 17 nearest to the electrode lines 16 are partly bridged with transparent and electrically conductive members, and probe marks 19 are formed on the bridged part. Further, cut position marks 20 are formed from the transparent and electrically conductive member on both outer sides of the dummy electrode lines 18.
