PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a leather like sheet with grains having one unit feeling and a sense of fulfillment of a base substrate with the grained surface like a natural leather, not having a flicker feeling, having a high grade feeling and further excellent in ventilation and moisture permeability, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: This leather like sheet is obtained by overlapping a non-woven fabric consisting of a polyurethane fiber having 5-125 g/m2 unit weight on at least one of the surfaces of a base substrate consisting of a fiber interlaced nonwoven fabric and an elastic polymer contained therein, temporarily fixing them with a polyurethane resin having <=20 deg.C lower softening point than that of the polyurethane fiber, heating and compressing them for melt adhering the polyurethane and also laminating them with the base substrate as one unit.
