PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a gene transfer into a plant tissue efficiently and accurately using a simplified device through designing a genetic material to be directly exposed to gas pressure and improving the structure of a filter to be loaded with the genetic material. SOLUTION: The subject gene transfer device has such a scheme that, a filter-shaped member 50 with many through holes is housed in the interior of a cartridge 11 connected via connective means 20, 22, 24 to a gas force feed channel; the top surface of the filter-shaped member 50 is loaded with DNA-coated metallic particles 70; a helium gas force-fed by opening a solenoid valve 230 directly impinges on the DNA-coated metallic particles 70 to effect emitting them and striking them into a target 120; wherein the distance between the filter-shaped member 50 and the target 120 can be regulated by vertically moving a shelf 110. |
