PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developing device where unevenness and developing irregulality in heat developing material can be decreased. SOLUTION: In this heat developing device, a drum 14 where a film is carried and heated, a roll 16 that can be rotated guiding the film to the drum by having it energized and a driving source are provided. The roll is rotated by having driving force of the driving source transmitted to the roll. A surface layer of the drum is an elastic body with hardness of 30 to 80 deg. and thickness of 0.3 to 2 mm. Furthermore, a member with a great moment of inertia for rotation can be installed to the roll. The roll can work interlockingly with the rotation inertia member that has a greater moment of inertia for rotation than the moment of inertia for rotation of the roll.
