PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical fiber connector which can stably obtain an excellent optical connection by providing a dust entry preventing means. SOLUTION: On the base body 2 of an element 1 in two-split structure composed of the base body 2 and a lid body 3 between which an optical fiber is sandwiched when they are integrated, a V groove 8 for positioning alignment is provided so that the optical fibers 7 can be made to mutually butt, the base body 2 and lid body 3 of the element 1 are held in one body by pressing a U-shaped clamp spring 4 from one join surface side and applying lateral pressure, and a wedge insertion groove 5 into which a wedge 12 for releasing the base body 2 and lid body 3 held in one body by the clamp spring 4 is inserted is formed on the other join surface of the base body 2 and lid body 3. The wedge insertion groove 5 is coated or filled with a lubricant 6 for adsorbing dust.
