PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize narrow space along a guiding path and to improve the working efficiency of an unmanned driving vehicle by stopping the unmanned driving vehicle at the exchange operation position of a home station and exchanging the charged battery of a standby space with that of the unmanned vehicle by a transfer means. SOLUTION: When a stopped unmanned driving vehicle 1 is detected by the sensor of a home station 2, an used battery 3 that is mounted to the unmanned driving vehicle 1 is transferred to an acceptance space A on a slide base 5 by a transfer means. Then, a slide base 5 is slid, and a standby space B where a charged battery 3' allowed to be standby is positioned at an exchange operation position P. Then, the charged battery 3' is transferred from the standby space B to a battery-mounting space C of the unmanned driving vehicle 1. The role of the acceptance space A on the slide base 5 is exchanged with that of the standby space B after the first exchange operation is completed, which is repeated alternately, thus automatically exchanging the battery. |
