PRODUCTION OF FLOCKED ARTICLE OF SPLIT FIBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a high-quality ultrafine nubuck-tone or long fiber flocked article free from fiber removal and pile damage without impairing flying properties in flocking. SOLUTION: This method for producing a flocked article of split fiber comprises flocking a conjugate fiber composed of >=2 components in which at least one component is a modified polyester copolymerized with >=1 mol%, based on the whole acid components, of a compound containing an SO3M group unit (M is a metal atom, hydrogen atom or phosphonium group) and the other is a component having an alkali weight loss rate lower than that of the modified polyester and applying >=0.5 kgf/cm2 pressure to the flocked face to split the conjugate fiber.
