PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to simply recognize a layout position of a print result in an easily understandable way. SOLUTION: A preview image output section 101 receives image data to be printed on print paper and coordinate data that represents a print position of the image on the print paper and displays the print paper and the image on an image plane display device. When a user uses a position adjustment section 102 to adjust a position of the image on the print paper on the basis of the print paper and the image displayed on the image plane display device, a position data buffer 103 stores the coordinate data after the adjustment. An image output section 104 gives a command to a printer so that the printer prints out the image at the position of the print paper denoted by the coordinate data stored in the position data buffer 103.
