PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and simple structure breather device. SOLUTION: This breather device is applied to an engine in which a sprocket 17 fixed on a cam shaft 16 arranged on a cylinder head to operate a valve train system is driven by a crank shaft connected to pistons and rotatably arranged in a crank case, and circulates blow by gas in the crank case to a intake system after eliminating oil components. A locker cover 15 having a partition wall 22 to divide the valve train system and a breather chamber 24 is provided on the cylinder head, and a blow by gas taking out port 36 supplying the breather chamber 24 with blow by gas in the crank case is formed on the part 22a of the partition wall 22 facing a side surface of the sprocket 17.
