PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which is capable of preventing the bright-lines generated at the peripheral end of a display region and surely fixing sheets, such as diffusion sheets, to a resin frame. SOLUTION: A light blocking tape 11 is stuck to cover the peripheral end of the diffusion sheet 2 and the top surface of the resin frame 6 to fix the diffusion sheet 2 and the resin frame 6. As a result, the bright-lines generated at the peripheral end of the diffusion sheet 2, i.e., the peripheral end of the display region of an liquid crystal display element may be prevented and the offset of the diffusion sheet 2 and the sheets 3 may be prevented and the sure fixing of these sheets to the resin frame 6 is made possible. Two stages carried out heretofore; a stage for printing the diffusion sheet 2 with a black frame and a stage for sticking double sided tapes may be omitted and since only the stage for sticking the light blocking tape is merely necessitated, the cost reductions by the simplification of the manufacturing stages is made possible.
