PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer supply member capable of obtaining an excellent image even when the number of printed sheets is increased in an electrophotographic or electrostatic recording image forming device. SOLUTION: This developer supply member is used while abutting on a developer carrier and at least its surface abutting on the developer carrier is constituted of high polymer elastic foam. In a lambourne wear testing machine, a testee piece obtained by molding the high polymer elastic foam like a disk is arranged so that its outer periphery part may abut on the outer periphery part of a grindstone constituted by sticking the sand paper ofξ40 to the outer periphery of disk-like substance, and the testee piece is press- contacted with the grindstone for five minutes with the pressure of 1.9×105Pa while the testee piece is rotated at the circumstantial speed of 5 mm/sec and the grindstone is rotated at the circumferential speed of 300 mm/sec so that the testee piece and the grindstone may be rotated in a forward direction. The projecting area of the wear powder simplex of the high polymer elastic foam produced at such a time is <=0.01 mm2.
