PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve the problem of a conventional air-conditioning apparatus controlling the air temperature at the upper space in the vicinity of an indoor machine body and the air temperature being higher than the temperature at a position where a person is located, comfort at position space where the person is located is not ensured, operation with high-cooling capacity is effected, and wasteful energy is consumed. SOLUTION: The temperature of a position space, where persons are located in a room is calculated by temperatures detected by a plurality of temperature-detecting means for detecting the suction temperature of air sucked through an air inlet or the temperature of the indoor air, and the supply temperature of air supplied through an air outlet or the temperature of a heat-exchanger on the load side. Operation for supplying air at a position space, where persons are located, so that the calculated temperature is adjusted to a target value is executed. After the temperature reaches a target value, an air direction varying means is switched to the supply of air to a position space where no person is located, comfortable air-conditioning is effected rapidly to a position, where person are located and necessary air-conditioning is also effected at a position where no person is located, whereby the interior of a room is kept in comfort using less energy. |
