The arrangement has a pump (1) carried by a floating object with a displacement body (3) movable along a pump chamber (2) axis and dividing the chamber in two and a generator (22) connected to a connecting line system (10). The pump oscillates about a transverse axis when a pump housing rocking movement is caused by the waves, thereby causing the displacement body to move reciprocally in the pump chamber to pump a medium that drives the generator.
