PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner which can eliminate ghost light after realizing dust-proofing and sound-proofing, and can reduce a scanning line bending and shading. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner provided with a light source 1, a light deflector 5 and a scanning image formation element 6 or the like in an optical housing 9, two transmission optical devices 4 and 7 of the nearly plane for both sides are provided and disposed on both sides of the scanning image formation element 6. One transmission optical device 4 is mounted in a light emission port of a cover 11 covering the light deflector 5, the other transmission optical device 7 is mounted in the light emission port of the optical housing 9, the two transmission optical devices 4 and 7 lean in the same direction within a subscanning cross section containing a straight line O vertical to a surface to be scanned 8 and the transmission optical device 4 of the side close to the light deflector 5 leans within a deflection scan layer to the surface to be scanned 8. The transmission optical device 7 of the side far from the light deflector 5 becomes almost parallel within the deflection scan layer to the surface to be scanned 8 and a polarization direction of a luminous flux which goes to the light deflector 5 is almost vertical to a deflection scanning direction. |
