PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed gas transfer filling method for efficiently transfer filling a compressed gas to various fill containers having different initial pressures and target pressures by making effective use of the remaining pressure of plural supply-side containers. SOLUTION: The compressed gas transfer filling method for transfer filling the compressed gas from the plural supply-side containers to the fill container using a pressure difference comprises a first step #1 of measuring the initial pressure of the fill container, a second step #2-3 of selecting the lowest pressure supply-side container of the supply-side containers having a higher pressure than the initial pressure, a third step #4 of transfer filling the compressed gas from the supply-side container to the fill container and a fourth step #5-6 of judging whether the pressure of the fill container reaches the target pressure or is equalized before reaching. If it is judged that it reaches the target pressure at the fourth step, the filling is completed and if it is judged that it is equalized, the pressure is used as the initial pressure for repeating the second step or later as a step #7.
