PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera battery loading device capable of preventing the current of reversed polarity from being made to flow into a load side, and preventing deterioration of batteries or the like caused by a reverse connection between the batteries. SOLUTION: This camera battery loading device is mainly characterized in that a negative side contact (28) has an electrode holding piece (51) for holding an electrode at one end part and an external terminal piece (52) for supplying electric power to the other end parts; and is provided with a leaf spring arranged so that the electrode holding piece (51) is deviated in the direction parting from the other battery support plane of the battery loading parts (H1, H2); and the positive electrode reverse contact prevention mechanism attached to this negative contact piece (28) is provided with a stopper (53) arranged to restrict variation (D) of the electrode holding piece (51), and a space part (51a) arranged for the electrode holding piece (51) to avoid a contact with the positive side electrode (34a) of the batteries (31, 32, 33, 34) which are inserted into the loading parts (H1, H2) with the polarities reversed.
