PURPOSE: To stably operate an oscillation circuit in one frequency band and to provide the oscillation signals of another frequency band where the frequency is two-fold at sufficient level. CONSTITUTION: This oscillator is provided with an oscillation circuit 1 oscillating in a prescribed frequency band, a signal attenuating means 12 and an amplifier circuit 10 for outputting the fundamental wave or secondary higher harmonic wave of the oscillation signal by amplifying the oscillation signal outputted from the oscillation circuit 1. The input terminal of the amplifier circuit 1 is equipped with the signal attenuating means 12 and when outputting the secondary higher harmonic wave from the amplifier circuit 20, the fundamental wave is attenuated by the signal attenuating means 12.
