PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which can suitably detect game balls even in power failure. SOLUTION: This game machine guides game balls discharged from a discharging mechanism to different passages by a passage switching valve and detects game balls by separate detecting means equipped on respective passages. Game balls discharged from a discharging unit 600 are guided to a premium ball passage 703 or a lent ball passage 704 respectively according to whether the ball is a premium ball or a lent ball and detected by a premium ball detecting sensor 713 or a lent ball detecting sensor 714. A passage switching solenoid 730 to switch the passage switching valve 720 is a latching type and a plunger 731 is brought into contact with a fixed member 734 or a fixed plate 735 to keep the position at the power supply stopping when power supply to the solenoid 733 is stopped.
