PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems which a body of a vacuum cleaner is heavy and of a large size, and the operability is inferior because a rechargeable battery is always built in the vacuum cleaner body and in particular the weight of a cord reel is added to the weight of the battery when operated with a AC power in a conventional vacuum cleaner operable with two power sources, i.e., AC and DC power sources. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner comprises a cord reel unit which is provided on the vacuum cleaner body in an attachable/detachable manner to supply the power to an electric blower, and a battery unit which is provided in an attachable/detachable manner in place of the cord reel unit to supply the power of the storage battery to the electric blower.
