PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulky rice transplanter having improved traveling stability by lowering the position of center of gravity of a traveling machine body. SOLUTION: In this sulky rice transplanter equipped with a planting machine at the rear part of a traveling machine body, the traveling machine body is furnished with a pair of right and left main pipes extending in the longitudinal direction, an engine and an engine starting apparatus are arranged between both the main pipes and the bottom end faces of the engine and the engine starting apparatus are located lower than the main pipes.
