PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit an urging force of toggle spring mechanism to a bail arm in a bail reversing mechanism. SOLUTION: This bail reversing apparatus 18 is a mechanism for returning a bail arm 17 from a fishing line releasing position to a fishing line winding position with linking to the rotation of a rotor 3 in the fishing line winding direction and is equipped with a moving member 51, the toggle spring mechanism 50 and a changing member 52. The moving member is attached to the rotor in such a way that the tip of the moving member is longitudinally movable to a first position separated from a spinning reel main body and a second position close to the spinning reel main body with linking to the rocking of the bail arm. The toggle spring mechanism has a tip rotatably seized by the bail arm, dividedly urges the bail arm in the fishing line winding position and in the fishing line releasing position and changes the urging direction corresponding to the rocking of the bail arm. The changing member is installed at the front of the spinning reel main body and when the rotor is rotated in the fishing line winding direction, the changing member is brought into contact with moving member to move the moving member toward the first position.
