POWER CONTROL UNIT OF TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION INTERMEDIATE FREQUENCY PROCESSING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A power control unit of a transmission/reception intermediate frequency processing apparatus is provided to simplify a device construction and reduce a power consumption in a sleep mode by cutting a power supply in the sleep mode and controlling a power of an IFT/IFR(Intermediate Frequency Receiver/Intermediate Frequency Transmitter) for every slot cycle period and the operation of the IFR by an MSM3000(Mobile Station Mobile 3000). CONSTITUTION: An MSM power supply unit(10) is constantly operated by a control signal outputted as ON signal all the time from an MSM3000(20) and supplies a power to the MSM3000(20). The MSM3000(20) receives the power from the MSM power supply unit(10) and performs a function of controlling a general operation of a terminal and controls the operation of an IFR/IFT/voltage control oscillator power supply unit(40), an IFR(50) and a voltage control and oscillator(70) for every slot cycle period. The IFR/IFT/voltage control oscillator(40) is operated for every slot cycle period according to the control signal of the MSM3000(20) and supplies a power to the IFR(50), an IFT(60) and a voltage control oscillator(70). The voltage control oscillator(70) is operated upon receiving a power from the IFR/IFT/voltage control oscillator power supply unit(40), generates a system clock of the terminal and provides the system clock to the IFR(50) and the IFT(60). The IFR(50) is operated upon receiving the system clock from the voltage control oscillator(70). A sleep crystal(30) generates a clock used in a sleep mode of the terminal.
