PREPARATION METHOD OF SULFINYL COMPOUND USING METAL CATALYST

PURPOSE: Provided is a method of preparing a sulfinyl compound using a metal catalyst, to omit extracting, washing and dehydrating processes, to reuse a metal catalyst without additional treatment and to prevent the production of by-products, thereby improving the productivity and the industrial usefulness. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dissolving the compound of the formula 2 into a solvent; oxidizing the compound in the presence of a metal catalyst by using hydrogen peroxide; filtering, distilling under reduced pressure and recrystallizing the residue, to obtain the sulfinyl compound of the formula 1. In the formulas, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are independent each another and are H, a halogen-substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched alkyl group of C1-C6, -OR5, or -O-(CH2)n-OR6, wherein n is an integer of 1-6; R5 is a halogen-substituted or unsubstituted linear or branched alkyl group of C1-C6; and R6 is H, a linear or branched alkyl group of C1-C6, or a common alcohol protecting group. The alcohol protecting group comprises a trialkylsilyl group, a benzylmethoxymethyl group, an acetyl group and a benzyloxycarbonyl group. The solvent is an alcohol of C1-C6. The metal catalyst is represented by AM1M2O6, wherein A is H or an alkali metal; and M1 and M2 are independent each other and are niobium, tantalum, molybdenum or tungsten.
