PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-liquid separator for organic waste of a high water content which can separate the waste such as the excrement of domestic animals into solid and liquid portions to obtain solids of a desired water content and is easy of maintenance. SOLUTION: This solid-liquid separator 10 for separating the excrement into solid and liquid portions has a cylindrical screen 50 which is rotated to separate the waste of a high water content into solid and liquid portions, ejection nozzles 44 and 44 which are installed rotatably in the screen 50 and form a solid layer 66a by ejecting the excrement on the inner wall surface of the rotating screen 50, cylinder devices 18 and 18 which move the rotating nozzles 44 and 44 in the axial direction of the screen 50 to form the solid layer 66a over the whole inner wall surface of the screen 50, and scraping blades 42 and 42 which are formed on the inner wall surface of the screen 50 and scrape off the dewatered solid layer 66 by moving in the axial direction of the screen 50.
