PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory compression managing device separating an application from memory compression in a low-order level and effectively increasing its physical memory size. SOLUTION: This device 10 comprises a processor 12 connected to a communication path 20, a memory 22 connected to the communication path 20 and holding a set of information in a compressed form, a compressor 18 for releasing the compression of the information, and a controller 16 acquiring the information in the compressed form from the memory, releasing the compression of the information using the compressor, and providing the processor with access to the information in an uncompressed form.
