PURPOSE: A device for guiding local information is provided to construct local information DBs by areas, and to add guide information about businesses to a local information DB of a corresponding area, so as to inform a user, who is unfamiliar with neighborhood of the area, of the nearest facilities. CONSTITUTION: A local information DB(20) stores and manages geographical information on peripheral areas where local information guide devices are installed, and stores guide information on facilities. A DB input unit(30) adds guide information on businesses, which pay for contracts to register corresponding guide information to the local information guide devices, to the local information DB(20). If a user requests the guide information on the facilities through a user interface(10), a DB searcher(40) searches the local information DB(20) to extract the guide information. An output unit(50) arranges the extracted guide information by distance, and supplies the guide information to the user in order. A controller(60) outputs a control signal to the DB input unit(30), the DB searcher(40), and the output unit(50) by the user's command inputted through the user interface(10).
