PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink-jet recording head capable of positioning comparatively easily and with high precision a pressure generation chamber and a nozzle opening, and also capable of obtaining a good and uniform ink discharging characteristic, its manufacturing method, and an ink-jet recorder. SOLUTION: The ink-jet recording head is provided with a nozzle plate 20 in which a nozzle opening is bored, a fluid passage forming substrate 10 in which a pressure generation chamber 12 communicating with the nozzle opening is partitioned, a lower substrate 60 set through a diaphragm on one face side of the fluid passage forming substrate 10, and a piezoelectric element 300 consisting of a piezoelectric layer 70 and an upper electrode 80. A bonding surface of the fluid passage forming substrate 10 and the nozzle plate 20 is provided with a plurality of engaging parts 100, each consisting of a concave part 15 set on one surface and a convex part 22 set on the other surface to be engaged with the concave part 15. As a result, the fluid passage forming substrate 10 and the nozzle plate 20 are positioned with high precision, and bonded.
