PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a service company to surely provide a service by securing a partial area of an HDD incorporated in a TV broadcast receiver (service terminal equipment) as an area only for the service company so as to allow the service company to use the area freely. SOLUTION: This broadcast receiving terminal equipment has a disk management means for managing an HDD incorporated in the service terminal equipment, a private area managing means for securing/deleting the partial area of the HDD as the area only for the service company and a writing control means for restricting data writing by a user (viewer) to the private area. The private area managing means provides the area only for the service company and the writing control means stores contents distributed from the service company.
