PURPOSE: A method of warning excess current of a vehicle is provided to warn the excess current by a warning sound or warning light if excess current flows from electric equipments of the vehicle. CONSTITUTION: In a method of warning excess current of a vehicle, current capacity flowing to each electric equipment is previously stored to an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) when each electric equipment is independently operated. The stored current capacity of operating electric equipments is read out and added up during traveling. A reference current capacity is decided by adding a basic current capacity to the added-up stored current capacity, and current capacity flowing to electric equipments is each sensed and added up, to detect the sensed current capacity. The reference current capacity and the sensed current capacity are compared. If the sensed current capacity is over the reference current capacity, a warning device is operated.
