PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaper harvester provided with a longitudinal posture changing operation means to freely change the longitudinal inclination angle of the machine body relative to the grounding part of a traveling device and a controlling means to perform the pitching control for controlling the operation of the posture changing operation means in a manner to keep the longitudinal inclination angle of the machine body within a prescribed range relative to the standard horizontal plane based on the information transmitted from the longitudinal inclination angle detecting means to detect the longitudinal inclination angle of the machine body relative to the standard horizontal plane and enabling the reaping under traveling motion while ensuring the clear view of the reaping part and the backward motion in a state having low traveling resistance even in an ill-drained paddy field. SOLUTION: The pitching control is switchable between a normal control mode and a paddy field control mode. A target control angle for paddy field to give an inclination angle corresponding to the longitudinally horizontal state at the center of the setting range is selected in the paddy field control mode during the backward motion. The target control angle for normal state to give an angle inclined forward at the center of the setting range is selected in the normal control mode.
