PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave filter device which is excellent in the steepness of a filter characteristic of a pass band at lower side and can make attenuation quantity in be blocking zone be larger enough. SOLUTION: This surface acoustic wave filter device 100 is a surface acoustic wave filter device of a ladder configuration having a plurality of serial arm resonators 111a and 111b composed of a one-terminal pair of surface acoustic wave resonators and a plurality of parallel arm resonators 112a to 112c. The capacitance Cp1 of the first parallel arm resonators 112a and 112c connected to an input port 100A or an output port 100B and the capacitance Cp2 of the second parallel resonator 112b connected to a connection point A between the serial arm resonators 111a and 111b have relation of Cp1×2<Cp2, and an inductance 113b is not greater than inductances 113a and 113c.
