PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery preventing the generation of sealing failure caused by the deterioration of an insulating member in welding. SOLUTION: This sealed battery is assembled by joining a battery cover to which an electrode terminal is fit through the insulating member to an opening of a battery can by welding. An outer insulating plate 8 facing the outer surface of the battery can 1 among the insulating members installed between the electrode terminal 4 and the battery cover 3 is fit to the position not projecting upward from the upper surface of the battery cover, and the outer insulating plate is fixed by the crimping of an electrode terminal forming member passing through the outer insulating plate. |
