PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical encoder having a simple structure capable of easily and rapidly adjusting the position of a part and capable of being also re-adjusted. SOLUTION: The optical encoder is provided with a holding member 110 made of a transparent resin integrally molded along with a lens 109, a light emitting part 105, and an adjusting means for adjusting the position of the light receiving part 107 with respect to an encoder scale 101.
