PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for ping-pong sound recording which enable a user to carry out mixing work while listening to the sounds of all parts. SOLUTION: The device for ping-pong sound recording comprises multitrack recorder means 10 of a hard disk system, first mixing means 20, second mixing means 30 and a master recorder means 40. In ping-pong sound recording, the music data of the part where mixing ends is saved in a saving region 12 of the multitrack recorder means 10. In doing the mixing again, the music data saved into the saving region 12 is returned to a track 11 and is reproduced and while the music of another part already subjected to the mixing is reproduced, this mixing is done again.
